Marin County is steep in a tradition of ranch homes built during the middle of the 20th century and a period of rapid growth in Northern California.  This project posed the challenge of how to work within the footprint of one of these iconic ranches (building up a level) to create a new much larger home focused on both capturing the dramatic views of Mt. Tamalpais while respecting the architecture of this close knit residential community.  This completely reimagined home includes a new beautifully detailed front porch, board and batten siding, stone base accents, a new large trellis and new large windows and doors connecting the interior and exterior spaces.
